Write for us
Clever Story House welcomes pitches that make a specific part of storytelling easier to see. We are interested in clear, original pieces for curious readers, not writing advice built on vague rules or claims that one formula fits every story.
What to pitch
We consider ideas about plot, character, setting, story forms and writing craft across fiction, performance, screen stories and oral traditions. Strong pitches begin with a focused question, name the storytelling choice at the centre and explain what readers will understand by the end.
A useful proposal
Use the Contact page to send a short summary, a possible working title and a few lines about your approach. Mention any examples you hope to discuss and flag material you do not have permission to reproduce. Please send a proposal rather than a complete unsolicited article.
What we look for
We value fresh angles, careful explanations, a lively voice and respect for different readings. Pitches should stand on their own, avoid unverified claims about creators and make clear whether an idea depends on discussing plot details.
Stories reward a second look
We believe the fun is in noticing how a story works: what it reveals, what it withholds and which details stay with us.
